Borage

Borage

An easy growing annual herb plant with vivid star shaped blue flowers that start pink, and leaves and flowers that have the flavor and scent of cucumbers. Grows best in full sun and when sown directly into garden.

Traditionally cultivated for culinary and medicinal uses, leaves have a cucumber like taste. Can be used as either fresh in salads or as a dried herb. Used in soups, as a filling for pastas, or pickiling.  The flower has a sweet honey-like taste and is often used to decorate  desserts and cocktails such as Pimms or Gin. Please check medicinal properties carefully before use.
