As part of the McGregor Garden festival 19 Private & Project Community Gardens received sponsored food seed & compost, with advice & support from a local food farmer, Judy Eccles. And Kirchhoffs, who also sponsored & awarded prizes for all.
Cash prize winners of R500 each were Gina Adendorff, Jerome Williams & Justin as Breede Centre Project gardener.

We could not have included such highlights to McGregor Magic without you.
Plus, you also helped us to plan with the Horticulture industry back in the March Trade Show….
At the Festival, you helped to conjure Magic to the Community children, with the procession & storytelling. (I sent photos in appreciation & here is the video for you)
Plus, you have engendered pride & provided food for the Community gardeners. Elfriede & Anchen gave so much time to judging your ‘Grow Off’.
The prizes will motivate them to continue ahead …
You kindly also supported our media build-up with competition prizes, as well as the public interest – through attending the market & giving to the Prize Draw. I have sent images & links.
Interestingly, The Gardener magazine also visited after the Festival & state that they want to work with our sponsors next time in building the event more ahead of next year. They see what great contributions you gave.
It is a small thing to say our thanks in return, because we know what big things you did for us.
We hope that you might consider joining in with us again in 2020…. but we appreciate the generosity given in 2019.
