Lemon Balm

Lemon Balm

The leaves have a mild lemon scent similar to mint. During summer, small white flowers full of nectar appear that attract bees, hence the genus Melissa (Greek for “honey bee”).

Use as a flavouring for ice creams and sorbets and add to fresh fruit dishes or be brave and make a pesto. Please check medicinal properties carefully before use.
